Busted out 4.75 hours of solid work on PB&J today. Caught up on ALL my emails, blasted through my to-do list, and took on a couple items for down the road (e.g. improving website organization). BAM!

I'm friggin' exhausted though. Wiped out. I felt like a machine, chugging through all those tasks.

That's all I've been thinking of Lauren lately. Our tango classes are going well, we are progressing at a mind-blowing rate. This week we worked on milongas and drilled check steps until they were (mostly) effortless. Boo. I lost to Lessa (who replaced Ivy for the final round since she was super busy with work) in the DJ battle. That was a bummer. Lessa really did play a rockin' set, though.

On a more positive note, I've been approached by several people for private lessons. W00t!

Hoo boy. It sure can be challenging to motivate oneself to work during the weekend.

Wow... Exactly what I needed. Slept for 14 hrs on Saturday, then ate dinner and danced for 6-7 hrs with fantastic dancers from around the country. I saw so many familiar faces from all over the place; SFLX attracted an impressive number of dancers. Over 500 people registered.

We had a total of 193 attendees for the Tuesday Blues anniversary celebration. Even after spend $275 on food, decorations, and prices, $361 on DJs (Steven Watkins flown in) and $90 on instructor (Ted Maddry), we still made $210.

So. Fucking. Awesome!

It makes me so happy to see our blues community thrive.

Rode my bicycle to Tuesday Blues last night, taught the Fundamentals lesson. I felt on top of my game. People were engaged, many people came up to me and thanked me for the lesson or commented on how inspiring/comfortable/encouraging it was...
